  • AI interactions: conversations with the AI caddy (used to improve your experience)
  • Location data: GPS coordinates when using On-Course mode (only while actively using the feature)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and improve the Service
  • Personalize AI caddy advice based on your golf history
  • Provide GPS yardages and course information
  • Send transactional emails (password resets, account notifications)
  • Maintain the community and enforce our terms

3. AI Caddy Memory

The AI caddy stores "memories" about your golf game (swing tendencies, club distances, preferences) to provide better personalized advice. You can view and delete these memories at any time from your profile. Memories are associated with your account and not shared with other users.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service providers: hosting (Vercel), database (Neon), email (Resend), AI (Google) — only as needed to operate the Service
  • Other users: your public profile, posts, and comments are visible to other Caddyslack users
  • Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords (bcrypt), SSL/TLS encryption in transit, and secure database hosting. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Delete specific AI caddy memories
  • Export your data

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
